After all the discussion yesterday about the hit on Bridgewater and the eye gouging incident, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the league suspended our entire team if the NFL's poster boy QB went down vs. the Eagles. hah
MS' Week 9 Power Rankings:

No need to factor in tonight's MNF game since it involves a couple of shit-squads.

1. NEW ENGLAND. A rather ho-hum win over a bumbling Skins squad that dropped at least 5 passes. Feels the Pats went through the motions in this one.

2. CINCINNATI. A nice solid thumping of the Browns who've had the Bengals number the past few seasons.

3. CAROLINA. Huge win versus GB. 2-game lead now in the NFC. Pretty easy looking second half schedule as well.

4. DENVER. Looked the Broncos might pull out a win in Indy yesterday, but Andrew Luck played tough and the Colts D came up big in the 4th quarter.

5. ARIZONA. Cardinals were on a bye. Still in the drivers seat in the NFC West.

6. GREEN BAY. ARodg showed up a little late Sunday, and then with a chance to tie, missed an open receiver and threw an INT. Pack D really struggling.

7. MINNESOTA. At 6-2, they have to be ranked in this spot. Definitely over-achieving and QB Bridgewater may miss this Sunday's game against the Raiders.

8. NY JETS. Their body of work is still solid enough to put in this spot. QB now out, but running the ball well enough to pick up a W vs crummy Jags.

9. PITTSBURGH. Big Ben heading to the sidelines again. Antonio Brown virtually singlehandedly won the game yesterday against OAK. Don't like their chances long-term without Ben.

10. NY GIANTS. Pulled out a win against the Bucs on the road. Game not decided until final minutes, but, a win is a win.

There are several teams that are within striking distance of the Top 10, and I fully expect my Week 17 rankings to look a lot different than this week's.
I'm actually relieved Denver lost. It doesn't really affect their standings, they didn't lose any place in the division, and the only thing they hurt was their ability to go to the superbowl without going through Foxboro and that wasn't gonna happen anyway. Manning is Brady's bitch; always has been. But at least this way people will stop calling them the least deserving undefeated team. Takes a lot of the pressure off.

He would just shake it off. The tale of the tape tells.

Patriots fans sure are cocky fuckers.

Nope, I'm the last fan to get cocky. I've watched them go from a Steve Grogan type team with that idiot Parcells to the team they are today. They have been accused of all kinds of transgressions and have survived the bullshit from the have nots. They have survived because they are a team not individuals as are seen by so many teams that pursue prima donna athletes. Kraft, Belechick, have carved out the perfect team that have their shit together without having to single out any player. They each protect each other because they actually like each other. Some have joined only to be cast out because they are assholes no matter how good their numbers are. See Adam Vinetiery.
They are the ultimate team, not un beatable but true to form and good as it gets. When was the last time you saw members of the team denigrate management or any other team member?

That is their strength and the talent with Gronkowski, Brady, Edelman as a team may be unstoppable this year.

Cocky......no. Confident........yes. Win or lose they are the team with the most shit together in the league.
They are brilliant and I hope and pray I get to experience what it's like to be a fan of a team who wins like they do. I want to go to a parade in South Philly before I'm too old to be in a crowd that size.

I'm calling bullshit. Without Brady the Pats don't make the playoffs for the last 10+ years.

It drove me to the brink of insanity. As you know it lasted until almost midnight and then I watched the press conference and a post game show. The last time I looked at the clock it was around 2:00 and I was still so jazzed I couldn't settle down. I dozed off for a couple hours. I've been up since around 4:30, still pumped!

I'm really lovin' the rookie, Jordan Hicks.
Out 2-4 weeks with the pectoral injury.
To quote the great Bobby Boucher:

"I think you zigged when you should have zagged."

I heard Billy Davis say it is a season ending injury.

My bad, forgot to check back after the last update I got. He was added to the IR. Season over.

Gruden's spot on Mike and Mike today was all about renegotiating the players bargaining agreement so that players have more time to condition and practice.
All three undefeated NFL teams are a species of large cat:

Carolina = Panthers
Cincinnati = Bengals
New England = Cheatah's

LOL!

Take that Maggs!

P.S. I'm just a jealous hater, although, doesn't it get rather mundane when your club is good year after year? Seriously, wouldn't a few shitty seasons make you appreciate rising to the top all that much more?

They had their shitty seasons. They just got them all out of the way before the last decade. Bellichick is the genius in that camp, and Brady is the key to his genius. Without those two, they'd just be the 4th shitty team in that division. Green Bay's decline and Rodgers' attitude about it is the biggest surprise to me this season. Watching Rodgers throw the surface pro on the ground was very telling. He's never been in a situation like this before when everything wasn't going his way.
I'm glad you feel like GB is on the decline.

They don't lose games within the division, kind of like NE.

The Pack starts a stretch of 4 straight within the NFC North this week. If they go 4-0 they'll win the division yet again.

Time will tell, but honestly have you ever seen Rodgers lose it like that before? I didn't expect that at all. Mr. "R-E-L-A-X" hah

Game Day! The Dolphins are coming to the Linc. I don't care how awful they are, I don't underestimate them. Same goes for Detroit who we play on Thanksgiving. As an aside, this is our second Thanksgiving game in a row.

I haven't got any smack to talk. I just want to win. We can win beautifully or we can win ugly. It's all the same to me. Just get the job done. Go Eagles.
GB is a tough team and they may just break the streak today. And Gronkowski is a truly gifted athlete.
