The reactions to him getting rid of high profile players has been a lot of fun to watch. Rex Ryan must have felt like he had been handed a gift from God himself. I felt bad for Shady until he started running his mouth. I'm pretty sure he was horribly hurt to have been traded. They all say they understand it's a business until it happens to them.
So, is it your opinion that the Eagles are ultimately trying to land Marcus Mariota on draft day?

I've heard that more than once.

You can't help but hear it, it's everywhere. No, I don't think that's his plan. I'll be glad when the draft is over, not because I'm pumped to see who we get but because it should end all the endless speculation. It's been insane, some of the scenarios that people have come up with have really bordered on crazy.
There's just indicators that point to Chip keeping his options open for MM. If they were locking Bradford down to a longer deal or Chip hadn't said that every player was on the trading block, then there would be less speculation. Ultimately I don't see it happening. Tebow isn't even newsworthy... reports have been circling for years that both the Eagles and Barkley were trying to get Barkley traded. Tebow is QB3 if anything... that's not news.

It's not a bad thing that Chip is keeping his options open. You want a head coach to do that. I agree that Shady was hurt by being traded, but he didn't talk shit about Philly, just Chip.

Coach Kelly just said we are the best fans in the National Football League. Thank you. ThankYouVeryMuch.

MS, don't you have any concerns about retaining Adrian when he clearly doesn't want to be there? I had a player who publicly stated he gave up out on the field because he wasn't happy and it bugged the snot out of me. I didn't shed a tear when they cut him loose and he is a high profile player...or at least he was when he was a Bird.
According to ESPN analyst and former Viking Cris Carter, the Vikes have a trade in the works for AP.

Just as was the case a couple of years ago with Percy Harvin, the Vikings are most likely not putting all their cards on the table.

Also, Adrian only played one game last year, and I thought he looked old then. Didn't have the same burst of speed that we had grown accustom to.

If we trade him I just hope we get the better end of it.
Anybody checking the ticker? No surprises yet. Winston number one and Mariota number two.

Yep.

And how about this little ditty.

Tennessee and Tampa play each other Week #1 @ 4:25 EDT.

Do you think the League saw this coming?
Glad that's over, maybe now all the rampant speculation will end. Would have been fun to watch Coach shake things up some more though.
I don't think he's done yet.
Raiders take Cooper who had a pretty big combine. Ran ridiculously fast but that isn't his normal speed and he's got the dropsies. Another year of Oaktown mediocrity, coming up. Good, I hate the fucking Raiders.

Can a newly drafted player be traded?

Yes. Eli Manning comes to mind... drafted by San Diego and didn't want to play there. It was a quasi-deal though... Giants drafted Rivers and they traded players.

I didn't realize Cooper was only 6'1".

The way people were talking about him I just assumed he was Calvin Johnson-esque.

With so many big CB's these days he'll really have to run precise routes and have a good/great QB.

People say Carr has a ton of upside.
Woooo. I heard a rumor regarding the Eagles wanting Marcus so badly they would give 2 first round picks, Fletcher Cox and more.

I could swear I hear the crowd booing every time Roger takes the stage.
Probably. He's not a real popular dude. I heard the same rumor about Mariota only it was the Browns trying to give up a couple first round picks. Must be one of those urban legends, "the choking Olbermann" lol.
Well, the Vikings wanted another CB and we got him in Trae Waynes.

Some experts say he isn't physical and doesn't want to stick his nose in there and tackle.

But he's apparently a heckuva an athlete and runs a 4.3 40.

I think with Coach Zimmer as the 'DB Whisperer', I'll take my chances.
Zimmer is just the "Defense Whisperer." He kept the Bengals in contention for years and Marvin is still reaping the benefits.

Trae is a good player. I predicted him going to the Vikes. I only got 6 picks right out of 32... but a few more were 1-2 spots away from my prediction. Always fun watching R1.
Duchess, you always like NFL player sightings.

I was just 5 feet from Chad Greenway (Vikings) at my sons little league game.
