Oh thank Christ, I still have one more shot.

If there is anyone left on earth who believes the NFL cares about player safety, they have shit for brains.

...and further more, Coach Coughlin should have pulled OBJ from the game. If the officials aren't going to do their job then he should have done his.
OBJ's behavior was despicable. I'm glad he's a Giant.
Beckham looked really, really bad.

Glad my 8 year old didn't see any of that piss-poor shit.

As much as I want to see him this Sunday versus my Vikes, the league needs to suspend him.

Yes, it was. It was bullshit and I could not believe the officials turned a blind eye to it and I was very surprised that Coach Coughlin did as well. Seriously. I thought he was above allowing that sort of behavior.

I'm glad your little one didn't see it too. I know people don't look to be role models but that's what happens and I wouldn't want any little kid to think that is acceptable behavior. It's not. It's unprofessional to the max. I've always liked that kid and thought he was so much fun to watch.

Not just once but over and over and over again. It's one thing to let them play. Quite another to watch a guy dig his whole hand into a face mask, slap the helmet, or just outright tackle a guy and not even reach for the flag. The head shot should have gotten him ejected.

What was up with that? Everyone watching saw it happening repeatedly and nothing was done. It was crazy wild to see it all disregarded in such a very public manner.

I heard it speculated that it was because he's such a super star right now. If that's true it's fucked up.

Wow.

I hope that's not true.

I love football but the NFL has fucked up priorities.

I'll guarantee when the league flexed Giants-VIkings to Sunday Night, they were counting on Beckham playing.

It'll be interesting to see if the league suspends him (they should IMO).
According to Deion Sanders today, Beckham lost his shit because Norman and a couple other guys threatened him before the game, said they were gonna end his career and called him a fag or something. There was also something about bats being brandished but they apparently do that all the time. Thing is, even if a dude is getting under your skin you never let him see that he is, all Beckham did is basically ratchet up the trash talking of every corner or defensive player he faces for the rest of his life. If they know they can rattle him that way they'll do it every time.

It's definitely a sign of weakness and immaturity. There's trash talk in every game. How a player reacts to it is what separates the men from the boys.
The other day some sportscaster I can't recall was on the Rich Eisen show talking about how he had rated Julius Jones ahead of Odell Beckham but had gone out of his way to compliment the kid, but Beckham got pissed and said he wasn't any good at his job, talking shit on twitter etc. It was a funny interview, but clearly the guy has some growing to do.
I think refs definitely think twice about throwing superstars out of games. It can't be undone and it changes the course of the game. Refs are people, they're prone to error. Star CBs don't get called for PI and defensive holding as much as they should either. Legit fighting has gotten players ejected, the Suh Stomp, stuff like that. He probably should have been ejected, but it's a tough judgement call. Norman wasn't exactly an innocent bystander.

The difference is that OBJ is incredibly young, stupid, and doesn't know how to be a professional. Usually superstars have been around the block and know how to act like adults. He's also on the Madden cover, which shows how big a star he is. It's a rare combination. He got a 1 game suspension and rightly so. Nothing justifies his actions on the field. I just hope he sees the error and matures. WRs are prone to diva behavior and a lot of them fall by the wayside for their ego.
Very ironic that when I clicked on a link about his suspension, the ad was Head and Shoulders---BY HIM!

I should have known that better than most.

10 years ago, the ref would have told them both that if he has to look their way again they both get ejected. That happens and we don't see what we saw on Sunday. Coughlin should have sat him like Duchess said too. Since he didn't, he will be playing a must win game without his star receiver against a tough team in Minnesota. If they lose to the Vikings, I think we see a new coach in New York next year. I think Sean Peyton will be looking for work next year. Go Giants. hah

Coughlin should have sat him. From a strategic standpoint, it's no difference. You have a chance against Minny without OBJ, but you have no chance against Carolina without him. He stayed in the game and they nearly came back and won. So from that perspective, it's not about sitting him to have him for Minn.

Personal/ethical standpoint tho, he needs to be sat. Long term the message is much stronger for coaches sitting you than the league punishing you. If your own coach is ashamed of your actions, you rethink how you let your emotions play into your game. Coughlin failed the kid on that part... probably because his desire to win overshadowed his desire to keep the kid in line.
Fucking fuck fuckity fuck fuck kcuf christ fuck shit fuck dammit fuck duck.

You lost to a team that can't kick a FG with 6 seconds left in the half and takes a f'n knee. They're morons. This genius QB is a 4th round pick who replaced a first round, 2nd overall pick that they traded 3 years of firsts for. Their coach is fucking Jon Gruden light, and he has no idea what he's doing in a dumpster fire that is the Redskins. They're god awful, and you handed them the game.

You threw it away when you miss a WIDE open Zach Ertz on the outside. You threw it away when Murray is running fucking pitch plays on a wet fucking night. You threw it away when Agholor has the ball bounce off his fucking hands in the endzone. Worst of all, I was fucking there in person to see how fucking bad you looked. I'm talking Detroit level bad. Nobody could fucking cover Jordan Reed. He's a good player, but he's Jordan Reed, not Michael fucking Jordan. You fucking sucked it up when the season was on the line, at home, and you pissed away another season when you can't even argue, "at least we were 10-6." This week you're luckier if you're 6-10. Rethink your fucking strategy because this product was fucking lousy. Draft a QB and an OG. And go fuck yourself. Fuck.

:(

I got nuthin'.
I just had to get that out.

Now I have to listen to angry Eagles fans miss-analyze the problems with the team. "Murray/Maxwell makes too much, the WR's can't catch, we never should have gotten rid of Maclin!" Maclin was a FA, get the fuck over it. The real questions are, why is Sanchez here? Why did you cut Evan Mathis? Where are we getting guards in the future to run inside before halftime? Why is Bill Davis the DC? You paid Kendricks, Barwin, Bgram, you brought in Jenkins, Maxwell, Carroll/Rowe, Kiko, Bennie Logan... if these are all guys you support, why can't your DC make them a fucking cohesive group? I know Fletcher Cox ain't the friggin problem.

And what the fuck happened to your offense? Where are the perimeter screens and HB screens I used to see? Why are we doing the fastest 3 and outs in the history of the NFL? Some of it just pisses me off, but no, fans are more concerned about "You drafted Marcus Smith!" Give me a break. He wasn't even in charge of that draft.
