I love a mile long salad bar!
Me too. But I also love potatoes a hundred different ways which is why I'm going to try Mrs. Potato. As a side story, a while back one of the waitresses at this restaurant noticed something strange about an 11 year old boy and his parents. They sat there and stuffed their fat ugly faces while not allowing him to get anything to eat or drink which was the first thing she thought was strange. He also had on a hoodie, sunglasses and a mask, but she could see bruises on his cheeks and forehead and he appeared very thin. She held up a sign behind the parents back asking do you need help and the boy nodded yes. They called the cops and when they had him take off the hoodie he was black and blue from the neck down and said his parents hang him by his ankles and beat him with sticks and restrict food as punishment. Had that waitress not noticed something wrong that poor kid could still be going through torture if not dead.
OMG that makes me sad. Some people are so fucked up. The server is a hero!

Me too. Well I used to. Ponderosa had the best all you can eat salad bar and steak. I also used to love reading. TV, phone, Internet has warped my fragile little mind.
No smart phones allowed in the toilet.

I would travel about 30 miles to go to my favorite one, it's been a long time now, but I loved that joint. It was so much more than just rabbit food, loved it.

You're still reading , hun, you just do it online now. I'm the same way, loved books and have many, and I would make trips to my library, now I get my books from the library using the Kindle app and read my news online.
Ponderosa was good, but we don't have one here anymore. My best friend's mom when I was a kid use to take us there all of the time. Those people lived at that place.

Ponderosa sucked; you want salad bar - Ruby Tuesday
That story is fucking awful, but good that the waitress paid attention and intervened.

I knew a girl named Ruby Tuesday that would toss your salad for $22.
I had a peanut butter & raspberry jam sandwich on rye bread and it was fricken delicious.

Blech. Rye bread is only good for Reubens. And sometimes not even then. I get my Reubens on sourdough bread when possible.

That's why it was here. I don't normally have that kind of bread around. Had I not been famished & wanted something super quick I probably wouldn't ever have discovered the divine deliciousness.
I love rye bread. Especially with a tuna melt with cheddar and tomato.
Rye bread is tasty. Yes Reuben sandwiches are good and Swiss cheese goes good, but I never ran out of other bread so far to make a P&J sandwich. I will have to try it sometime.

I've never had one of them. I like tuna fish sandwiches and I like tuna noodle casserole too which is kinda surprising to me because warm tuna sounds gross.

Brain conditioning.   If you've only ever eaten tuna salad as a cold sandwich,  the idea of it being hot is going to sound and taste gross to you.   Not to mention that we've all been told since birth that warm mayonnaise leads to food poisoning.

Iceburg, or any type of lettuce is another example,   most people use it as a base for a cold salad,  so the idea of frying it up and using it as a side dish would sound gross to most people.   Not the Chinese tho,  those guys put fried lettuce in everything.   Most people don't realize that the egg rolls they eat have fried lettuce in them.
Oh man. I LOVE eggrolls! I guess that means I love fried lettuce. Wild.

I dont like the tuna warmed through so when I make them I toast the bread, cheese and tomato first like you would do a regular grilled cheese. I add the tuna salad last so it stays cold and is only encompassed by the melted cheese, tomato and toasty bread. So you're getting a grilled cheese and cold tuna salad sandwich in one.
Burgers just plain ole burgers w/cheese and chips. Yeah that's right. Yum yum.
