Some columbian girl I knew made them with hamburger, peas, hardboiled eggs, rice and some other stuff, delish!

Huh? I had to google them to see what they are and it's said they have their origins in Portugal.

How do you go through life never having an empanada? They're delicious.

Mark provided a video,  and she still had to Google it,  why did you expect better?
She puts the nada, in empanada!

I wanted one when I saw them. I could tell they would be delicious. Shiiiit. Anything wrapped in buttery pastry is delicious.

There are many foods I've never eaten. I have a bizarre relationship with food, but I am much better about it these days than I was as a teenager & young adult. I give food power which is wrong & extremely unhealthy, but again, I am much better about it now. I don't binge & purge and I haven't in many years. My parents spent a ridiculous amount of money trying to help me only to have my dentist say one time, if you don't stop doing that you're going to ruin your teeth. I stopped.
I feel like I could eat a dozen empanada right now. I am fricken famished.
With Aji sauce!
I tried making them once with a pickled onion and cabbage slaw and Aji sauce. It was pretty good, but what a pain in the ass, I'd rather a nice South American woman who knows what she's doing make them for me.

That looks like chimichurri sauce.
Yeah. I found an Aji sauce recipe on the net that called for mayonnaise in it, but that didn't come out too good so I threw it out and made it without the mayo. That's why I said that I'd prefer someone who knows what they're doing to make them for me instead.
I just had the Today Show on as I was moving around doing stuff and guess what they were making? Guess! Yup, empanadas. NomNomNom. I still feel like I could eat a dozen of them.
There is a Honduran restaurant here that makes them. It's different from the Columbian version, but equally good. I get them every time we go there.
I would be in heaven...

We've been to hotpot restaurants a few times. They're fun and popular here. They have several broths you can pick from, I get the spicy broth.

I don't think I have had them either.

I haven't felt like cooking lately. I get those ready made/packaged meals from the grocery store so I don't have to do any of the cutting or prep work. Just throw it in the pan or oven.
Tonight I had broccoli, mushrooms and zuchinni w/ pesto and cheese.
I ruined bacon wrapped filets because I didn't know what I was doing. 84

Thank Christ no one ever has high expectations when it comes to my cooking.
