That's why I called it a propaganda vote silly. I like to call the 44 members of the white house press pool the strong arm of this administration. They are all democrats. That is by design. Let the mis-information war begin.

I didn't argue otherwise, mister. I argued against your contention that it accomplished nothing.

You are correct...........It revealed most of the gun grabbers.
Rational people = Gun Grabbers

There are some serious looney tunes walking this earth.
I know how you label everyone who supports any changes to gun laws, Mags, even when there is no grabbing of guns involved.

None of the four bills proposed the grabbing of any guns.

Instead, the bills proposed blocking legal gun purchases by people who haven't passed a background check (via private transaction and internet), more mentally ill persons, and any person (American and otherwise) suspected of terrorism.

The biggest and loudest anti 2nd amendment people are the ones that have never owned, shot or even held a gun. But I can understand your belief that only people with guns are irrational. Its all over the news.
I don't think all people who own guns are irrational.

I know more rational gun owners than irrational ones (not at Mock, but in general) and I know plenty of irrational people who don't own any guns. You're making shit up now, Maggot.

I fully support the rights of sound-minded non-criminals to own guns for self-defense and sport.

I was just replying to MS's equation Mom!! Geez, don't have a hernia!!
^ Oops, sorry Mags. I see you were talking to MS.

Nevermind.... Smiley_emoticons_smile
I personally would love to see an incredible amount of red tape & hoops to jump through required for the purchase of semi-automatics.

The person that wants one of these should feel along the lines of, "this is incredibly expensive and the government wants to know all this shit about me AND all of my family, is it really worth it?'

That's what should be required.

Those guns are meant for nothing but mass killing. And I don't want to hear anything about target practice bullshit.

Maggot, I've handled and shot guns all through my youth and early adulthood.

Not everyone who owns a gun is a gun nut, but I'm sick & tired of the old standby line "it's my right to own whatever and however many guns I want."

Our society should be farther along than it is, but sadly, the lunatic fringe element will never allow it.

I'm not a gun grabber, my only issue aside from unstable people having access to them is that I want military grade weapons/ magazines that allow someone to shoot a hundred people in 60 seconds out of the hands of civilians. I'm not going to shut up about it either. I don't give one single fuck if someone wants to go out into their back 40 and have a little fun shooting off hundreds of rounds. Fuck your fun. Grow up. People living is so much more important than your good time.

Too strong?

Ignorance abounds even though this discussion has been hashed out as HotD exclaimed upthread and several have tried to "un-blur" the lines as it were. This is one of the problems with the legislation too. A .243 deer rifle with a 3 round clip is considered semi-automatic.
^ well, let's specify models then. it really won't be that hard.

You're right, MS.

It's not blurry to me.

And, it's not hard -- that's what's already been done in states with bans on some semi-automatics and in previous federal legislation.

Many of the lawmakers don't want to do anything about it. Period. Of course that's just my opinion, it's how I feel. There is a senator in Florida right now who is giving away an AR-15 on the 4th of July. This is what he says about this giveaway - “With terrorism incidents on the rise, both at home and abroad, protecting our constitutional rights has never been more important”.

I wish those stupid fuckers would stop referring to the Orlando shooting as an act of terrorism in the sense that ISIS terrorizes. It's disingenuous, it's bullshit. I think they use that expression to work the crowd.
The NRA & nutters just wait for the smoke to clear after each one of these incidents and it's back to business as usual.

10 days from now no one will even know what the 'Orlando shooting' was.

For the last 14 years the NRA has given that Senator up there ^^^^^ an A+ rating.

Right now there is a sit-in on the House floor. Those people want to force a vote on gun control. They want some common sense laws.

Why is it that only Democrats are speaking up about the gun violence?
They don't own guns? Kelly Ayotte is not walking lock step and a few others. Dems never change party positions and they usually drink from the same well.
When they don't get their way in any bill they blame the pubs and say they are to blame no matter what they are trying to pass. like budgets and spending they blame the pubs for their mismanagement on a variety of issues.
