I will have to agree with OP on this one. There are no hard and fast rules as to which posts WE choose to vote for. If one strikes me as rather "brilliant" or effective at making a point, it is going to get my vote.

Sometimes it is pretty much because the poster was saying what was thinking..and just posted it first.

I tend to vote for the posts that catch me off guard or the ones that make melol.

I don't lol that often, but when I do I always vote.
