I think it's an ugly word no matter who uses it or what color they are, or whether they say 'nigger' or 'niggah'. I jumped all over a group of 'black' (in quotes because race is an illusion) kids who were using that word on each other around my little boy. They were a bit stunned.
I hate the bullshit excuse of 'a nigger can be anyone of any color', because I just see that as a lame excuse to keep using an ugly, hurtful word when there is no call to do so. Yes, I am educated enough to know the origins of the word and what it means in the dictionary, but I don't think that's an excuse either.
In Duchess' case, I'm pretty sure she was just angry and trying to take a stab in a sore spot and going for shock value. Yes, I was a little surprised, because Duch usually isn't that crass in her mocking. I'm pretty certain she isn't racist though. Maybe in a deep sort of way that she never really thinks about, like "I wouldn't date a black man", but I seriously doubt she is the type to be overtly racist.
That goes without saying, Syber. Anyone that's read Duchess's posts should have enough sense to realize that. However, you can explain it till you're blue in the face and I suspect it would make no difference to Julie since she's basically a bleeding hemorrhoid on the ass of Mock and will continue to be since that's apparently her modus operandi in various forums. I'm certainly not impressed with her 'performance' here so far.
