Still stand by what I said back then. I believe that George used excessive force, driven by his egotistical want to be a hero...and stupidity.

Pretty much

Interesting question.

I have wondered why the prosecution DQ'd a male juror.

I'm talking about the black male juror.

I'm sure George was fearful of severe bodily injury . . . not so much death.

I have neither seen nor heard anything to contradict this belief.

Therefore: Green light to pull trigger on the nigger!

I didn't appreciate that, Maggot. Not one fucking bit.
Never mind, on second thought I do appreciate it.
"The sequestered jury of six women, all white except for one, came back with a not guilty verdict after only two days of deliberations. The verdict is a travesty, a continuation of the complicity of the racist, so-called criminal justice system that refused to treat the murder as a crime and has now left a vigilante free to roam the streets. The system of racist brutality carried out against poor people and people of color in communities from Florida to New York to California to Texas and elsewhere is on the offensive.

The acquittal of George Zimmerman means there will be more George Zimmermans. They have encouraged the growth of racist vigilante attacks on Black people. This is a pattern of racist violence that allows the cops to get away with murders like those of Oscar Grant, Alan Blueford and Manuel Diaz and countless others."

This is from the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

You know the ones . . . holding signs reading: THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS RACIST.

WATCH PROPAGANDA HERE
The Black Panthers have put a bounty of 10,000 on Georges head dead or alive. I thought that was illegal.
I don't go to gun shows, but I do have a concealed carry permit and hunt. My husband and I own 17 guns.

George Zimmerman doesn't speak for me or my husband. We think that George is a huge baby and should have "manned up" and fought back or took his ass whooping before shooting an unarmed person.

I would never go and listen to GZ, get his autograph or read his book. He's a coward of the nth degree and I have no respect for him.

I thought shooting and killing an unarmed teenager was illegal.

Obviously not.

You don't consider that he could have ran because there was a strange man hot on his heels? Trayvon didn't have a clue who George was, he only knew he was being pursued by a stranger for no reason.

If I run from a stranger who is pursuing me will I be a target too?

If only T was a faster runner, (surprising he wasn't) the whole outcome could have ended differently.

Unlike George, T had some balls, balls enough to confront the person who was following him & ask why. George, again with no balls, couldn't even say why he was interested in T's presence in that community.

I'm unsuccessful in accepting this verdict. I have nothing nice to say about those brain dead bimbos who served on the jury and I want to slap the condescending attitude off the one bimbo that's been interviewed. People say it's about race, people say it's not about race. For the first time I am at the point where I believe that had T been white George's fat ass would be in the slammer right now. People talk about George's right to stand his ground & defend himself, what about the right that kid had to walk to the goddamn store. Fuck George. I bet he's one scared, worthless POS right now. I've always said that if Trayvon had been a cracker with a Justin Bieber haircut and zimmerman had been a jheri curl nigger, zimmerman would have been thrown in jail so fast his feet wouldn't touch the fucking floor.

I know that Six, F.U., Mags, Cars, FAHQTOO and a couple of others here own guns and support second amendment rights and concealed-carry, also some aspects of SYG laws. I completely understand.

But, I can't imagine that just because someone exercised their second amendment rights and concealed carry privileges that gun owners would embrace George Zimmerman and be clamoring to hear him speak. Most gun owners here, IMO, aren't self-proclaimed pussies who wouldn't have identified themselves as NW or fought back before shooting a teen, no matter what led to the altercation.

Then again, I didn't believe much of anything Jose Baez espoused in the past and at least 12 others did. So...

Just curious. Would any gun owners here feel proud to have George Zimmerman as a spokesperson or make an effort to attend an event because George Zimmerman would be speaking?

Baez seems to just be giving his usual "over the top", "way out there", "media attention grabbing", unbelievable hypothetical scenarios he has become noted for. (look at all the book deals and appearances Casey has.)

I find it hard to believe that any rational business owner, and or responsible gun show organizer would want to be associated with the Z stigma.

Not to mention, Z would not have the balls to face his many disgruntled fans at a gun show! Especially around his many fans that would have guns also!

His life is over, he's just not in a physical jail! He will be in a "mental state of fear jail" for the rest of his life. That is, unless someone does him a favor, and shortens it for him.

I just heard that the Feds have ordered the state of Florida to hang on to the evidence from this trial. I really wish they wouldn't get involved with this.
Yea, I think they should let it go at this point. The man was found Not Guilty by a jury of hie peers. Flawed law or not, he is done or should be.
I have never seen a case where the Feds actually put in any Value Added after the fact.
This verdict is hard for some to accept, some of those would not be happy with anything less than the death penalty, some just wanted him convicted of Something.
I have to say the verdict didn't surprise me, I only liked it because it upheld the law as I saw it. This particular case wasn't a good one at any point for the prosecution, they never really had a case to make, to many missing pieces to get a conviction. The feds could step in but they have the same evidence the state had, the only way they will get a conviction is by really twisting the law. For one case I might not have a problem with that. The problem comes in because that sets precedence, and with that in hand they go after another guy, and another...
Big Brother is definitely watching and s after your ass, big brother is some yuppie anal asshole just looking for the next stepping stone to get what he personally wants, and YOU can be the one to provide it.

HotD, I am pretty sure that you know what my answer is.
While I feel that the SYG is a good law and agree that Z should have ben found innocent because of the lack of evidence. Z does not speak for me and I in NO WAY ever want to see Z at a gunshow, shake his hand, read his book, etc. I would probably watch a show about this case when it comes out on video, but thats about it.
Looks like the protests will do nothing to change the SYG laws in Florida.

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/07/...e-law?lite

Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Thursday told a group of protesters that he will not call for changes in the state’s self-defense laws following George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager.
Oh for Christs sake. No justice, no tip, Really????? I think it was just a way for this broke ass to get out of paying a tip.

Now, Florida waiters, who have nothing to do with the Trayvon Martin decision, are being punished for the Zimmerman verdict.
At least, that is what happened at one Florida restaurant.
