an affirmative defense that i anticipate will be used is self-defense. in that event the defense will try to strike a plea deal. Corey started with the top possible charge/count. it could possibly be worked down. depending on the evidence.

They might plea it down 1 charge maybe to man slaughter, but I bet they can make 2nd degree stick. Z initiated the confrontation and was not fearing for his life at that point, he persued TM even after being told not to so he wasn't afraid at that point. Somewhere right after that he found TM or TM found him and started dispensing a beatdown, thats about the only tactic street rats know. Thats when Z became afraid and where TM made a mistake. By jumping up and simply wailing away at Z, he was not defending nor denying Z the ability to strike back. Z was at that point very afraid, was able to get to his weapon and did so. One untrained idiot scrapping with annother one. The list is long on the mistakes Z made. TM not so much, but it was critical, if your going to confront someone and you do not know if they are armed, you have to take them down and deny them access to any defence. That means tackling and pinning and controlling.
Z. is en route to seminole county jail right now. but you can bet O'Mara is going to want a change of venue to the planet xorgwonklg.

actually a lot of the rhetoric may slow down between arraignment and trial. no more marches demanding an arrest. sharpton can STFU. but once a trial begins, barring a plea bargain, it will pick right up again. we can always count on florida for courtroom drama and entertainment.

We should let them dictate education policy, welfare policy, taxation of people who actually work, elect all our leaders, lead the way in fashion and hair styling, and be our moral compass. Violence is an accepted part of life in many black communities, including the ghetto complex in Sanford, FL. Don't let the fancy name fool you. It will come out that Zimmerman was indeed attacked when he turned his back. It doesn't matter what happened before that if there was no physical contact. People shouldn't bitch if they get shot while they are attacking someone.
Too bad that kid was killed, but it's the chance you take when you physically strike another human.
I think it's bullshit the courts are letting the fame whores influence what they do. What happens now if he is found innocent? Or will he be convicted because Rev. Al stepped in?

we don't yet know how much evidence Corey has going in, but i do think Z's new lawyer has some opportunities here: because of the $10,000. bounty, the hatred, the vast publicity, sharpton's race-baiting, the lynch-mob mentality. 
where can Z get a fair trial? his lawyer will have to attack that subject.

that has been one of Z's claims, you may have missed it in all the blah blah blah.
only in florida--- his lawyer can move for an immunity hearing. that means he may be immune from the murder charge because it was self-defense. the judge can throw the case out then and there.
but again, we don't know what Corey has for proofs of who was the initial aggressor. that is the determining factor in an immunity hearing.

If the evidence absolutely supported zimmerman's claims, I doubt he would have been charged. I believe the prosecution has something or things that refute his version of events. Maybe trayvon was the one crying for help (for example).

Judge finds probable cause for charge.
arraignment May 29. no bond hearing right now. O'Mara will ask for a bond hearing in next couple weeks.
