A little update on the witness 8 nonsense:

O'Mara: Fine prosecutors for hiding witness lies

George Zimmerman's attorneys on Monday formally accused prosecutors of being unethical, saying that for seven months, they hid a pair of lies by their most important witness, and that they should be punished for it.

The allegations, spelled out in a new court pleading, mark a new low in the case.

Defense attorneys Mark O'Mara and Don West have complained for months about Assistant State Attorneys Bernie de la Rionda and John Guy, saying they have refused repeated requests to turn over key pieces of evidence. This time, they've asked Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson to fine and admonish them.

"The paperwork also reveals that the young Miami woman was sitting next to Trayvon Martin's mother when she was interviewed by Crump March 19 and by de la Rionda April 2.

That's the reason she lied about going to the hospital and missing Trayvon's wake and funeral, according to the pleading.

The fact that Trayvon's mother was sitting next to her, possibly influencing her during that sworn statement April 2 with de la Rionda "places the legitimacy and veracity of the entire statement at issue," O'Mara wrote."

She needs to be tossed as do de la Rionda and Guy.

Giving statements while in the presence of the victim's Mom? Gimme an effin' break!

I'm glad that O'Mara finally deposed her.

Based on what I've read from her, I think she's slow. I can't tell what she really heard on the phone or if she was influenced.

There are no eyewitnesses as to who started the altercation. Only this Witness 8 ear witness to Travyon's perception of what was going on before it went down, and people nearby who heard or saw Travyon and Zimmerman during or after the altercation.

Every witness's credibility will be questioned, as usual. I don't know who's saying that Witness 8 isn't important to the case; remains to be seen, imo. She could be very important, both sides are focused on her. If she's called, it's not clear to me that she'll help or hurt either side, I don't think she's a strong witness based on what I've read.

If she's called, I think that she might get ripped apart during cross and be rendered irrelevant if she's not clear or firm in what she heard. If that happens, it could ultimately hurt the prosecution.

IDK. Zimmerman and his brother did media interviews and his team has been heavy with social media regarding the case. Crump interviewed DeeDee for the media. I'm more interested in their testimony on the stand.

According to her story, Trayvon never answered when Zimmerman asked him what he was doing there. Why? That would be the normal thing to do.

In the other audio track, she didn't say the phone shut off, she said she heard someone say "Get off" and that "It could have been Trayvon." She knew who said every other sentence except that one? And why did the liberal media place cut that part out of the tape?

And the part about "I'm not going to run": he didn't say he was tired, SHE said he was tired, he just said he wasn't going to run. That means he was going to fight. You know black people can play some basketball for more than one quarter.

If she would have really been scared for his safety, why didn't she call his parents? Why didn't they know he was in danger/dead?

I think she'll hurt his case more than help it. Like I told ramsey about her new business idea, having a retard on your side isn't a good thing.

Bottom line is Zimmerman should not have been chasing after Trayvon for leisurely walking about, and skipping off into the darkness.

George never said that he asked Trayvon anything. George never identified himself, according to George.

And it was not a high crime area. Not at all.

Timing is going to be a big problem for George. From the time that George exited his truck and the fatal gunshot was about 5 minutes. Where, or where did George go? George has said that he didn't follow Trayvon after the NE911 guy told him it was not neccesary, and George said 'Okay". But yet, George was still out and about? 5 minutes later? That is a big problem. And the defense knows it.

Witness 8 sounding like a young black girl? Not so much. Telling a white lie, that is immaterial to the night of Feb 26, as to why she didn't go to the funeral? Not so much.

And, the defense knows it.

And Zimmerman failed to identify himself and defuse the situation numerous times. He could have, instead of acting like he was the undercover man engaged in a routine surveillance operation.

And had Trayvon been a fucking coon/goon scoping out an opportunity to burglarize a home in the gated community, then he would have ran off into the sunset over the back fence.

George's imagination was fucking with him. Trayvon was no threat to the gated community. And George got it all wrong. He needs to be held accountable for his fucked up actions that night. He acted in a threating way to a young kid that had no clue who the stranger was that was surveilling him.

Even the Skittles are a lie. Trayvon's dad Tracy was still married to his mother. They split up a few weeks before he was killed. Tracy (Trayvon's dad) was already sleeping with another married woman who lived in that townhome with her 14 year old son. He wasn't Trayvon's brother. He wasn't watching an NBA game with his dad, the two boys were home alone. Tracy and his girlfriend were in Orlando having dinner.

Trayvon didn't just have the one brother, btw. His dad has four or five kids from different moms. Some younger than Trayvon (not Trayvon's mom's kids, other women, remember they were still married and had just split).

Why the Skittles?

Was Trayvon different than most of the other black American kids raised this way? Seeing as it was his third suspension that school year, I'm thinking probably not.
