Jesus Christ, you're a whiner, Jim. IMO. Ha.

You know that this isn't about "playing by the rules" and this isn't "my game". That's your fallback whenever I disagree with you, though it's simply not the case. Plus, I already said I don't think you have a problem with the very lax rules.

We're expressing a difference of opinion, poster to poster, which is exactly what we do here a good deal of the time. I'm not sure why having your opinion challenged appears to be a problem for you, but I'm really not concerned that it is, tbh.

This is about dishing it out and not being able to take it.

You:
"As I knew all along, this was a set up by the opportunistic scheming wife and none of you ever thought it might be, and of course, there is no other possible scenario or interpretation that makes any sense! You guys are ridiculous."

Me:
"What I think is ridiculous is your contention that there are no other reasonable possibilities as to what went down, along with your premature judgment that anyone with a different viewpoint in this matter is ridiculous".

Big 'effin deal. Tit. Tat. That tis that. Nothing more or less.
You're right HotD, it's all me.
So...back to the Zimmermans.

The police reportedly stated that a gun wasn't involved in the domestic dispute. However, Zimmerman's attorney, O'Mara, told Anderson Cooper that he believed George had a firearm on him, but that George acted responsibly with it during the incident.

Apparently, Shellie had told George that she was going to the house they used to share to pick up some of her things; her father accompanied her. George showed up at the house and a dispute took place.

In any event, it doesn't seem that either George or Shellie will be charged with anything (though according to some reports, police may be reviewing tapes from her Ipad and/or the surveillance video at the house - which is reportedly owned by her father, Mr. Dean).

I haven't read many news reports about it but it seems to me it could have easily gone down as the wifey described. If he smashed her iPad (easy enough to determine), he could have been charged with something but, on the advice of her attorney, she decided not to press charges.

There could be several reasons why she didn't pursue it. Maybe locking up the guy who might get a book deal (if he doesn't already have one) is just one of those reasons.

I don't know what happened but the fact that she decided not to pursue the charges doesn't mean he didn't do everything she claimed. George did have a gun with him according to O'Mara.

He's a god damn weeble.

Yep, it's possible that monetary considerations are the reason that Shellie Zimmerman was advised not to file charges yesterday.

It's also possible she just wants to move on and doesn't want to spend her days in court again. OR she wants to see if evidence of her claims can be recovered from the Ipad before she takes legal action (given she has a perjury conviction and her word would be questioned). OR she feels like George always manages to avoid responsibility and thus doesn't think she has much recourse. OR she's genuinely afraid of retaliation. OR she's full of shit and seeking revenge or some kind of leverage in the divorce settlement (as Jim believes). OR George has something on her that she doesn't want revealed. OR...

There's a laundry list of possible reasons why Shellie Zimmerman (or anybody else in the public eye or in the process of divorce) would be advised to hold off on immediately pursuing charges in such a case.

The latest:
Officer Hudson confirmed today that LE is attempting to recover the video from the smashed Ipad as evidence, and that could play a role in whether police decide to charge either party in the domestic dispute.

He also clarified that officers at the scene did not see or recover a gun; they are not contending that George definitely never had one there (Hudson says that Shellie Zimmerman assumed George had a gun because he kept his hand where he always carries his gun).

Regarding the gun, here's the actual exchange between O'Mara and Anderson Cooper from last night's interview:

O’MARA:
He acted appropriately. He never took the weapon out. The only thing he really did, which is what he told the police, was on the outside of his shirt, he made sure the gun wasn’t moving anywhere and didn’t do anything because Mr. Dean [Zimmerman's father-in-law] was sort of coming at him, that can sort of be seen in the video.

COOPER:
So he had the gun actually on his person, not like in the glove box of his car?

O’MARA:
That’s correct

Remember this 'effin fruitcake?

He's Dr. Bao, the ME who performed the autopsy on Trayvon Martin and was a hot mess on the stand; terrible expert witness for the state, IMO. (Details of his testimony are covered upthread.)

Anyway, he got fired last week.

So, now he's reportedly planning on suing the state of Florida for $100 million. hah

Having watched his performance and level of professionalism (or lack thereof) at trial, I'll be surprised if he stands a chance with any kind of wrongful termination suit. Guess we'll see...

Shellie Zimmerman said on national television today that her husband snubbed her after he was acquitted of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in July.

"He just kind of treated me like I was disposable," Shellie Zimmerman said on the Today Show. "He went on a victory tour without me."

Shellie Zimmerman appeared with her attorney, Kelly Sims, discussing the trial, her divorce and the domestic dispute that erupted Sept. 9 when she called 911 and told police George Zimmerman was threatening her and punched her father.

"In hindsight, I should have pressed charges," Shellie Zimmerman said.

She told Matt Lauer that she didn't see a gun but felt threatened after George Zimmerman kept gesturing toward a holster on his hip and saying "step closer."

"I absolutely stand by my story," Shellie Zimmerman said. "He had a look in his eyes I've never seen before."

Despite standing by her story, Shellie Zimmerman said she didn't press charges because police made it very clear to her that if she did they would all be going to jail that day but she would be the only one staying in jail.

That's because Shellie Zimmerman is serving a year of probation after taking a plea deal in a perjury case.

Her perjury has lead to a "credibility issue" with the public, she told Lauer.

Shellie Zimmerman also told the Today Show host she has doubts about what happened when her husband shot Trayvon Martin Feb. 26, 2012.

"I think anyone would doubt that," Shellie Zimmerman said. "I don't know the person I've been married to."

Still, she said she does not think George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin.

George has been pulled over by the cops again. This time for his window tint. I know from having after market tint that the fine is quite substantial, they let George go with a warning. He relayed to the cop that he had to get it because he's been receiving death threats.

WGAF.

Halloween party. hah *cringes*

Yes I can laugh & cringe at the same time!
LOL
Geez. They should have gotten rid of the leprechaun or whatever the hell she's supposed to be before they took the pic.
Change in NW Policy
As of Nov. 5th, Neighborhood Watch participants will not be allowed to carry guns in Sanford, Florida.

A police spokesperson said that they never encouraged NW patrol persons to carry guns. Now, they are prohibiting it.

This is in line with national standards.

Matt Peskin, the executive director of the National Association of Town Watch, told CBS News' Crimesider in August that the first thing taught in neighborhood watch training is: "Don't carry a weapon and don't get involved."

"You're not allowed to carry a weapon and you're not allowed to get physically involved," Peskin said of neighborhood watch groups. "I've always known neighborhood watch groups to preach, 'Don't get in a confrontation.' If there's something you see, you call [police] and you wait for instructions."

September Incident
The domestic dispute has fallen off the radar. Neither George nor Shellie Zimmerman filed charges against the other and the PD ruled that the incident didn't merit them filing charges against anyone.
September Domestic Incident - Investigation Closed

The Orlando Sentinel reported yesterday that Lake Mary, Fla. police "could not salvage" video that allegedly showed footage of the altercation, which took place Sept. 9.

Security camera footage shows George Zimmerman destroying the iPad.

Without that footage, police said they didn't have enough evidence to pursue domestic violence or other charges.

“That iPad is in half a dozen pieces at this point,” Lake Mary Officer Zach Hudson told the Huffington Post days after the incident.

Police sent the remains of the device to a lab, but technicians were unable to extract the video Shellie Zimmerman recorded.

Our Boy George is at it again

George Zimmerman has been arrested and was en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.

It's not clear what happened or what crime he's accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.

He said more information would be available shortly.

WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.

The Sheriff's Office, in a short news release, reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka.

Zimmerman's new girlfriend lives in the 1300 block of Topfield Court, according to an unrelated Lake Mary police report.

Zimmerman, 30, is the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer, who was acquitted in July on a charge that he murdered Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old, last year.

Since then, Zimmerman has had a string of run-ins with law enforcement. In September he was handcuffed by Lake Mary police but released after his estranged wife, Shellie, and her father accused him of threatening them with a gun while they were moving out her belongings.

Zimmerman had arrived at that scene with a woman, Samantha Scheibe, who was described a few days later as his girlfriend by Shellie Zimmerman's attorney, Kelly Sims.

Last week, Lake Mary police officially closed that case, saying they had no solid evidence that Zimmerman had broken the law.

When the searched Zimmerman that afternoon, he had no gun.

Check back for updates.

Fuckin' George. It's like he's an accident waiting for it to happen.
Not confirmed by LE directly, but TMZ is reporting that Zimmerman is being held for kicking his girlfriend. Because she's pregnant, the domestic violence charges would be a felony.

Yeah, it's TMZ, but strangely enough they've been swifter and more accurate than some other media sources on these type stories.

We'll see.

Whoa. It's being reported that George pointed a gun at her -

George Zimmerman was charged Monday with felony aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a shotgun at his girlfriend, according to Dennis Lemma, chief deputy with the Seminole County, Florida, Sheriff's Office.

Story
Let me guess.

He was in fear for his life when he pulled a shotgun on his allegedly pregnant girlfriend? Or, he didn't really threaten her with a gun - she and everyone else is lying?

Zimmerman is a full-of-shit asshole and a loose cannon.

If LE can't keep him locked up for this, I sure hope they at least get the felony domestic violence conviction so that Zimmerman won't legally be able to own a gun (and they can stay on his ass and bust him for possession and probation violation if he gets another one).
Ol' Georgie is one stupid motherfucker. He'll get convicted this time around, his gun totin days are over.
Probably get some jail time this time around too.
