Zimmerman went into hiding the day after the shooting. Quit his job and went into hiding the very next day. And yet who even knew the next day that Zimmerman had shot a black teen walking home with skittles and ice tea ? It took something like a month before it hit the news.
But Zimmerman went into hiding the next day. What's up with that? Zimmerman must be psychotic to have known what was to come.

I don't buy they had $50k in bills and living expenses to hide out. Most people don't even make $50k a year.
it cost a lot of money for them to hide out. out of state too. and who knows, maybe they paid off a car or caught up on a mortgage. i don't know. but i do know that when he set that site up he said it was FOR HIS LIVING EXPENSES, not a legal fund. so whatever they did, oh well. it doesn't appear to be fraud. maybe he'll have to account for it at some point, i don't know.

I want to take a moment to clear up some of the confusion regarding the monies raised on Mr. Zimmerman’s website. My understanding is that there were three websites which had PayPal accounts attached to them. One or two of them were run by friends of Mr. Zimmerman, and then there was the web site therealgeorgezimmerman.com , which George administered. Two accounts seem to have very little money in them, though I have not seen any records on those as they are not being administered by my client. Mr. Zimmerman’s former website and the PayPal attached to it raised approximately $200,000.00 over the period of time that it was up and running. Mr. Zimmerman was using this money, as mentioned on his website, for his ongoing living expenses and other necessary expenses based upon the charge and eventual arrest.
As I was ending any Internet presence George had, we removed any Facebook accounts, Twitter accounts and websites. As we shut down the web site entitled therealgeorgezimmerman.com my client asked what we should do about the outstanding fee monies in the PayPal account or that had been taken out of the PayPal account since its inception. George immediately gathered the funds that were in either his or his wife’s account, or the PayPal account, and has forwarded those funds to me presently. We are still awaiting a check from the PayPal company which takes several days.
I am also accomplishing a review of all of the monies in and expenses paid out of those accounts, so I will have that information by next week.
"Ethical questions are being raised both inside The Virginian-Pilot and in the Norfolk, Va. area after two of the paper’s reporters were attacked and beaten by a mob of at least 30 blacks, but was downplayed by police and withheld from the public for more than two weeks by the newspaper’s editors.
Reporters Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami were leaving a concert on the night of April 14 when a crowd of around 100 young people gathered on the sidewalk near their car. Rostami reached over to lock the door.
According to a police report obtained by Fox News, a black male hurled a rock at the car. Forster got out and tried to confront the individual who damaged his car. Instead, a gang of attackers began punching and pound the reporter. Police would not confirm the exact number — but at least one account put the number at 30.
Rostami tried to pull him back inside the car, but others in the crowd began attack her, the police report stated. She was beaten a half dozen times by an unidentified black man.
Rostami was eventually able to call 9-1-1. Police officers responded, they wrote an incident report and labeled it “simple assault.”
The reporters had to take a week off to recover from their injuries. To date no one has been arrested for the crime.
There was no mention of the attack in the pages of The Virginian-Pilot until Tuesday – more than two weeks later – when columnist Michelle Washington wrote a detailed story on the police department’s handling of the attack and she raised questions about her own newspaper’s lack of coverage.
And she also mentioned another previously undisclosed component to the story.
The day after the attack Forster searched Twitter and found a chilling tweet Washington wrote.
“I feel for the white man who got beat up at the light,” one person wrote.
“I don’t,” wrote another, indicating laughter. ‘(do it for trayvon martin) (sic)”

On Wednesday, Zimmerman's lawyer, Mark O'Mara, confirmed that the page—registered under the username "onlytobekingagain"—was real.
In the "About me" section, Zimmerman—identified as "Joe G."—expressed resentment toward Mexicans living in his former Manassas, Va., community:

In another, on Aug. 30, 2005, he boasted about how a pair of felony charges related to an alleged assault on a police officer were dropped. "2 felonies dropped to 1 misdemeanor!!!!!!!!!!!" Zimmerman wrote.
