And GZ did not get his degree. They let him walk without all the credits. He was a major D+ student. Nine years for a two year degree. I guess they felt sorry for him. WTF is O'Mara thinking?

Don't know how anyone can fail astronomy; fun class.

Anyway, I only read at the Treeper site for a few minutes when you posted about it way upthread.

Got any clues or heard anything as to what the defense is planning to present regarding the location of the bullet hole in the hoodie, Adub?

The defense is a mystery to me. But, no way could GZ had made that clean shot straight through Trayvon's heart laying on his back. No fucking way.

My thought is that when Witness 6 poked his head out the back patio door and said that he was calling 911, Trayvon got up and backed a way from George. And George jumped up and grabbed Trayvon by the sweatshirt and the shot was fired at close range while standing. Only thing that makes sense to me. You can't go by anything George says because he is a big fat liar. They were both standing. And George had Trayvon by the sweatshirt to keep him from getting away.

This snippet from the night of the shooting is very telling. Is GZ saying that Trayvon questioned his authority so GZ had to shoot him?

I feel comfortable enough to say this:

You're obsessed with GZ adub.

I sure will be ready when the trial comes around. And, Trayvon's mom stole my heart. I want GZ convicted so tht Ms Fulton can feel some sort of vindication. And George is a lying son of a bitch. Shouldn't be too hard for a jury to get it.

Just saw that the Huffington Post is carrying this story today.

George Zimmerman's attorney filed a motion Monday claiming that Martin likely was under the influence of marijuana at the time of his death in February 2012. Attorney Don West says that could be relevant to a jury evaluating Martin's actions the night he was shot.

From the legal doc that you posted, it says that Trayvon "swayed" when he was buying what I think the defense would like to depict as munchies (and they may have been) on the 7-11 video. The doc also states that the THC found in Trayvon's system would be lower than the legal definition for intoxication and that the test result could be from toking before the killing or residual from longer back. It's uncertain.

And, that this "could be" relevant to the jurors.

This seems like a transparent attempt to disparage Trayvon in the eyes of the jurors; it's not related to the killing and purely prejudicial, imo.

However, if the state plans to present the various "medications" that Zimmerman was taking that night (per his medical records) and suggests that they impaired George's judgment, maybe Nelson will let it in?.

IDK. I hope Nelson denies O'Mara's motion on this one. George can hypothesize about whether Trayvon was stoned because Trayvon's blood testing was part of standard autopsy protocol, giving the defense a door. However, George walked away from the killing and wasn't given a tox test because standard police protocol was bypassed, IIRC. Rubs me the wrong way.
As if stoned on pot would make him dangerous. Quite the opposite as far as I'm concerned.

I agree.

The defense PR Machine is in overdrive as the trial approaches.

I don't necessarily think that the defense is wanting to make the case that Trayvon must have been the initial physical aggressor simply because he may have been stoned.

Instead, I think that they're looking to depict Trayvon as a punk and a thug who the jury could view as a kid who was easily capable/inclined to jump George Zimmerman in the dark of the night. The marijuana is just one of several pieces they'll use to paint that picture, imo.

Today, the defense released more material and disclosed that it may be used in the defense case. This includes photos retrieved off of Trayvon's cell phone, one showing him with gold teeth (along with the one where he's making an obscene gesture).

The defense also released a text in which Trayvon refers to himself as a "gangsta" and tells the recipient that he'd been suspended from school and that his mom was kicking him outta the house.

Here's today's story:

Many people in today's world have smoked pot & know the effects of it. I'd love to see them bring that up & have it backfire on them.

That could happen if the defense is careless.

I imagine, however, it's more about the defense attempting to depict Trayvon Martin as someone who had no problem breaking the law and who wasn't an innocent kid (rather than presenting easily refuted allegations that marijuana promotes violence).

Just my guess on how they'll use the marijuana angle, if they do at all.
If someone is kicking off and being aggressive and confrontational are they drunk or high on pot?

99.9% of the time they are drunk.

I'm not defending pot I don't even like it but alcohol causes much more death and destruction than weed ever did.

Maybe he was a punk and a thug? Maybe he was easily inclined to jump someone? Maybe the drug, fighting, and gangsta culture he surrounded himself with are relevant?

I didn't know Trayvon Martin, so I don't know if the image that the defense might be looking to depict is accurate or not.

I only care about whether George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin in self-defense or if Zimmerman is instead lying.

But, the trial will get into the issues that we're discussing here and some/all of them may influence the jury's verdict.

It's all interesting to me from the trial perspective.
Adub would say GZ is a big, fat liar.

He's certainly big and fat.

Based on what I've read, heard, and seen I don't see a guy who lied. Neither did the police initially. Only after the race hustlers politicized this did it turn into a circus. But no need to debate senselessly about it, the trial will begin soon.

Then whether he is a liar or not will be up to someone else.

Him & his fat wife have already been proven to lie - they lied about the donations.
Yeah yeah, and Crump and Martin's family lied about Dee Dee. They also tried to scrub Trayvon's social media and online history.

If it's about what happened the night of the crime, none of it matters. But it won't be, and it will continue to be a circus.

I was shocked when I saw so many posts defending Martin honestly. I am with you on this one, Martin was depicted as a CHILD. When he was full grown I saw man loosely. This entire case has rubbed me the wrong one from day one.

The marijuana defense, everyone that has used it is PARANOID AS HELL. So as they might not be as combative as drunk people, they are paranoid and will attack.

Martin's parents are shady to me, as well as the Zimmerman's. I don't care about either at this point, I am just curious how this is going to play out. INSTEAD of playing the RACE card I hope it comes down to what happened that night.

There are a lot of stoners here that would disagree with that statement.

I'm looking forward to the evidence in this case. There's so much speculation; I hope one side or the other can convince me of their story beyond a reasonable doubt.
