Actually, I don't think Trayvon was beating the hell out of Zimmerman. And from the location of the body and the spent shell casing, I'd say that Trayvon was standing at the time that he was shot.
It is inconceivable to think that Zimmerman could make that straight, front to back, shot through Trayvon's chest while laying on his back having the hell beat out of him. Impossible, I say.

I'm thinking more and more that Zimmerman did go back to his truck. And I'm thinking that Zimmerman did not see Trayvon run at all before the 911 call ended. I think he assumed it. Zimmerman was smart enough to know that he couldn't tell the police that he got out of his vehicle a second time. Now could he?

I know you're being sarcastic; there's as much evidence to support that statement as there is to support the statement that Trayvon was clearly the physical aggressor.
Seriously, there are different opinions here as far as interpreting the same evidence and evaluating the merits of each side's claim. But, I've never seen anyone suggest that Zimmerman was out hunting black boys/men the night that he killed Trayvon Martin.

Well, we do know that while out that night, Zimmerman intentionally tried to restrain a 17 year old black kid, that Zimmerman thought was responsible for crime in his gated community.

I'll admit, chickening out on the immunity hearing was a good move on the part of defense. No way in hell Zimmerman wants to testify. And Judge Nelson is rule of law kind of judge. Jury selection will be the deciding factor. Got to weed out those gun-toting racists.
