Every time I see his name the very first thing that comes to mind is that he has difficulty gettin' it up.
I like the little palsied hand that grips the pen.
Ever see a photo of Bob Dole's parents?

He looks good for his age. Trim.

Whoa
Playing devil's advocate, Obama's right. In the context of his speech he wasn't saying people owe the government and he wasn't targeting people like Mr Duchess (duke?) for building successful business, he was saying that nothing occurs in a vacuum. This country was started by wealthy businessmen who recognized they could not succeed if all their profits went overseas to a foreign leader who didn't listen. Cue anti-government rants here.

BUT

Those same wealthy businessmen quickly recognized they could not succeed without the infrastructure to create more wealth and success for themselves and their neighbors. If one wins, everyone wins. THAT is what we've forgotten as a nation.

Do you think they dug the Erie Canal because they wanted a place to store their yachts? It was a joint venture for commerce. It is when our biggest and most successful businesses forget that concept of philanthropy, and the fact that they were helped along, that we fail as a society. The last time businesses got huge and greedy was in the roaring twenties with all the monopolies and grasping rich bastards. Guess what happened next? Same fucking thing that's going on now.

So yeah, Obama's right. Unless our biggest and richest businesses recognize that they will have to pony up for the success of the nation, there won't be any success. Doesn't matter who the president is.

Mr. Duchess 115

Gawddamn that was funny.

Seriously, Condi is the shit. Way more accomplished than Hillary. WAY more.

Read her bio. You will be impressed. She has played with YoYo Ma. She attended Stanford. She was National Security Advisor AND Secretary of State. Fuck Hillary.

Don't be dissing my Hillary!

I think Condi wouldn't be viewed favorably because of Iraq and Afghanistan. Consequently, I think if she is chosen it will be a not-so-subtle attempt to attract black and female voters.

I think Romney needs some type of budget hawk as a running mate--not necessarily someone to balance him on foreign policy issues. Wouldn't hurt if the budget hawk wasn't a white, male. Smiley_emoticons_slash
Do they have any of those in the GOP?

Denigrating war heroes now?

Classy.

Read up and be smarter next time:

"In April 1945, while engaged in combat near Castel d'Aiano in the Apennine mountains southwest of Bologna, Italy, Dole was hit by German machine gun fire in his upper right back and his right arm was also badly injured. As Lee Sandlin describes, when fellow soldiers saw the extent of his injuries all they thought they could do was to "give him the largest dose of morphine they dared and write an 'M' for 'morphine' on his forehead in his own blood, so that nobody else who found him would give him a second, fatal dose."[8] Dole had to wait nine hours on the battlefield before being taken to the 15th Evacuation Hospital, where he began a recovery that would take until 1948 at Percy Jones Army Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan (where Dole met future fellow politicians Daniel Inouye and Philip Hart). His right arm was paralyzed; Dole often carried a pen in his right hand to signal that he could not shake hands with that arm.

Dole was decorated three times, receiving two Purple Hearts for his injuries, and the Bronze Star with combat "V" for valor for his attempt to assist a downed radio man."

Quite a few. Here are some of those reportedly being considered as Romney's VP. Early VP speculation is generally a campaign and press game, though. It gets mulled around, names get tossed out (or intentionally leaked) when a candidate has an issue he want to detract from at the moment... Hardly ever does anyone really know who's going to be selected until the finish line. JMO...

Sarah Palin proved that.

No one ever said he was a porn hero.

Hence the Viagra endorsements.
"I'm Bob Dole and I'm gonna fuck the SHIT outta this message."

Doesn't have that official sound to it...
Porn hero

What a treat at the gym for me today...

I was on the stationary bike when 2 women got on the ellipticals directly (8 feet) accross from (facing) me.

Did I mention they were both about 120lbs (with 20lbs accounting for tits)??

Are you saying Obama and Hillary have nothing to do with Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, etc? Because the wars didn't suddenly end. We fucked Iraq and we are still getting fucked in AFG, along with whatever else we are doing (pissing off China, mostly).

She would have my vote. She's awesomeness.

Bullfuckingshit. The top 10% pay something like 90% of all taxes. They DID build that.
