It will be amazing if this cabin remodel comes together. My husband is doing pretty much everything online/by email. I haven't even seen the place in over a year. He keeps sending me pictures like this...WTF? I can't pick out colors if they're two feet in front of me much less online. The first is a granite countertop, the next is slate flooring for the bathrooms/laundry room.











I keep shoving it back to him...if it all comes together, he gets all the credit. If not, I get none of the blame!!

I'll look around for some of the others. I did save him from making one big mistake. He was trying to do a yellow paint in the kitchen (we all know how hard it is to find a good yellow)...I went to the paint store and he'd picked something that was bright, lemon yellow. Nonononono. I found a soft tan instead. Phew. Our wood floors are called tobacco. He's getting oil rubbed bronze for all the hardware. I hope it's going to be done by early summer!

I hate the fucking spring time wind out of the south.

This ends up in my yard.

We get santa annas here but later in the summer when the winds change and come more from the southwest.

These winds are almost directly from the south, they happen every year when the lows are further north of here and our temps start to rise above 70 in the daytime.

I hated that shit. It's like "Do they fucking look identical"? Or when people ask are they girls/boys and they are clearly dressed in green and blue. WTF?

My cousin has identical twin girls and she got so sick of people asking her what the sex was (while they are dressed in pink and purple) and if they were identical she had a shirt made up that said something like "Identical twin GIRLS, now SHUT UP" or something. It drives her crazy. My kids are 4 years apart and when they were little, and we'd be in a restaraunt or something, a lot of people asked me if they were twins. Fuckin idiots.

It's not that exactly. Boy/girls can't be identical because one has a penis, the other a vagina.
