Holy Fucking Hell! Glad you're ok.

Yeah, fine and it's just a ding but I'm still getting it fixed. It happened at 7-11. I'm sitting in my car waiting for kids and a woman comes out of the store weaving. She gets in her car and I can see her trying to find the ignition so I'm getting ready to call it in. Even though she had 2 spots to herself and nothing behind her she backs up a few times and clips my rear bumper. I jumped out and told her to pull over while calling the cops. She finally pulls in to a different parking space but hits another car in the meantime.

She was loaded!
I hope you whacked them on the head with your beer bottle and changed their chemistry.

Long story but I did end up with a very light interior and I'm hauling around a container of leather wipes to prove it.

I just got a follow up call from the PD. He had a few questions and then said "she's off the streets and hopefully will never drive again". Sounds like she has a history to me.

I guess so...What a damn shame. I rarely ever drink and I can't stand a drunk!
Today was the weirdest day.

Started off fine; got my votes cast. Check.

Came home, tooks some calls, worked on some emails, Mocked around too much... All's well.

Then, my second Super Cherry Slurpee wine-cooler of the day bottomed out sometime early afternoon and I needed a refill. So, I'm minding my own business, pull into the 7-11 to restock, and all of a sudden some barbie doll suburban soccer mom calls the cops on me because I barely nick the bumper of her brand new gas-guzzler... Smiley_emoticons_wink

(It wasn't really me user; seriously! And, I'm glad that you stopped her before she hurt herself or someone else, which she very likely would have.)

Did they take her away in cuffs?

Did you have any of your nippers in the car with you?

I'm glad you're not hurt.

Haha!! You had me for a bit. I was thinking "what a coincidence" till I got to the soccer mom part . Smiley_emoticons_slash

Jeezus. Who the hell gets asked what they'd like for Christmas and responds with "nothing, can't think of anything". Pfft. Ask me & I'll supply you with a list.
You can ask me Duchess. I promise not to say nothing.

Even though she was obviously drunk, I guess the police still have to go through the motions. They had her walk a line etc. At the time I left, she was taking a breathalyzer test.

It was kind of cool (except the hitting my car part). Because I witnessed the whole thing the police called it a citizen's arrest. I had to sign a form handing her over to the police department. 17

So Rams, want to tell me what I'm going to hear from my insurance company? I don't know if she had insurance; the police said everything I'll need to know about her will be on a police report in about 10 days. I'm supposed to provide that to my insurance company.

I guess my primary concern is, whether she was insured or not, am I going to have to pay my deductible? 52 That would piss me off.

If she's uninsured, OF COURSE you'll be paying your own deductible (and in turn watching your personal premium rise).

Also, if the cops were called and wrote down the VIN for your new vehicle, your car will now show an accident on CARFAX, which will reduce it's resale value substantially (no matter how minor the fender-bender).

Anything else I can do to brighten your day?

1) Did you report the claim yet?
2) I don't know the laws in Cali but in NY if you are not at fault, you will usually have your deductible waived or get it back once the insurance cmpany gets it from the at fault company.
3) If she had no insurance, you are stuck with the bill most likely. I am sure there is a law there that you must have insurance on your vehicle at least for liability and property damage even if she has no collision coverage on her own vehicle. Did she have a new car? If there is a lien on the vehicle, she has to have collision coverage i.e she has insurance.
4) The fact that she was DWI only strengthens your case. Too bad she only nicked your bumper or you could claim injuries and get some money. You low life insurance scamming soccor mom! Bitch.

Her premium should not go up as she is not being charged for an at fault accident MS.

Hahaha!!

Wish I'd thought of it! j/k.

Thank you for the slightly better news than that bastard MS gave me! It is the law that one have insurance in California but that doesn't necessarily mean she will. She was driving a minivan but it was at least 5-6 years old. I'm not optimistic about the insurance because by appearance, she basically looked like a poorly dressed homeless person. A complete hot mess. It sort of surprised me that she even had a car.

I guess I'll find out in a week or so though.
UserName? Can i one day use you and call you names?
