Take a Unisom to offset the caffeine.

Not really. If had my way, we'd donate them and nature would have its way and it wouldn't work. I have a very hard time with the notion that I might have biological children out there that I'll never know (which is why it's taken so long for us to make this decision). I'm only doing this because I can't live with the guilt of not giving them the opportunity of life. My motives aren't terribly altruistic except to those potential kids. Smiley_emoticons_slash

I'm not wasted space but you're welcome to go back to thinking of me as a total bitch. hah

I can see your point. There really is not right or wrong action to take here. It's what you can live with. I can say that I wouldn't want to have to make that decision.

It's been raining all day & it has been fantastic. I'm prepared for tomorrow so all I've done is hangout in Mock and putter around my home all day.

Scrubbing bubbles works hard so you don't have to.

I got a new fire extinguisher for my kitchen. Yee Haw.

That is all...
User, what do the majority of others do in your situation? Are most of the time they destroyed? Seems so sad if that's true. I have read in cases where they're involved in custody disputes....where the wife wants them and the x says no....how about the case where the Dr put the wrong one in a woman and she carried it to term for its bio parents...I'm not sure I could have been so generous..

I'd have to google it, but my guess would be, when forced to make a decision, most are destroyed, second donated to science and third, adopted out. But maybe the last two are reversed. I'm not sure.

Yes, there are a myriad of lawsuits surrounding embryos and such. My son looked Hispanic when he was first born; my husband and I both thought for a while that maybe the doctor had screwed up but eventually he started to resemble us. hah

One thing I've learned from the paperwork I received today is once we give them up, the adoptive family can either use them (or not) so we lose all control as to whether or not all 4 are ultimately given a chance. Smiley_emoticons_slash If you have 3 or less, you don't have the option to donate.

Nowadays, fertility centers charge upwards of $200-$300 a month to store the embryos so I think people are making decisions much more quickly. When I had my kids, we paid a one-time fee of $400 (I think) and they've been there for 13 years. People like us are surely pissing off the fertility clinics. hah Legally, I could probably demand that they keep them indefinitely because of our original contract but we decided it's time for us to make a decision regardless.

Babies have been born from embryos frozen up to 20 years. There's some debate about whether the viability decreases with age.

It's all kind of interesting but I wish I was talking about someone else's embryos. 52
Hey, I am off the air until I finish this last assignment for the semester. It's not an easy paper and requires my total attention. I'll be back when it's done.

I bet you can. It's pretty easy to copy and paste from Wikipedia.

"On a state level, foreclosure activity in Georgia jumped 33 percent between April and May, and vaulted 30 percent from May last year. That translates to one in every 300 households receiving a foreclosure-related warning, the nation's highest foreclosure rate last month."

Nice.
Yes collecting more toxic debt for the third round of fuck the people.

I love our Government.
Wtf? I had to turn the heat on again. 58 degrees inside just isn't "put a sweater on" chilly.
