i haven't had a damn sausage & egg mcmuffin since i left florida almost 4 years ago!! i have to drive 20 miles to a damn macdonalds. i love those muffins, used to get them early in the morning as a little treat. i miss them, and the jimmy dean frozen ones aren't half as good. yucky. i miss cracker barrel too.

I'm not training for a marathon, just trying to get a little healthier. My oldest takes track and we run together so in addition to getting healthier, I'm spending some QT with the oldest. Can't beat it.

Not knowing the casualty count at this time, what's your feeling about an air crew abandoning a plane over a populated area so that they can eject (and presumably, survive) versus manning the aircraft all the way to the ground in order to minimize civilian deaths while at the same time most likely writing their own death certificate?

Agreed. Regardless of the 'why', I think a military pilot should stay with his aircraft, unless the risk of civilian deaths has been eliminated.

it seems heavy black smoke from jet fuel fire has impeded efforts of first responders to get into building(s). if there are no fatalities, it will be a Good Friday miracle IMO.

They did say before they evacuated they emptied the gas tank so it would lesson the explosion...Va Beach is so populated they might not have had any choice if they knew it was going down quickly cause it's all heavily populated...

your assumption that they could have aimed it is fucking retardfed.

I don't fly full size but I do fly fairly large scale RC aircraft, if you lose control of the craft because of a glitch in the control box, that plane is coming down where it does and there is not a fucking thing you can do about it.

Yeah, I don't think they should have gone down with the plane. They have an obligation to do everything they can to protect public safety as they're going down but that's way different than abandoning a slowly sinking ship. Their staying on board wouldn't have changed the crash--they'd just be dead.

Thankfully, no one was hurt that we know of so far.

It's not like Sullenberger's landing on the Hudson River and waiting while all the passengers were evacuated. Totally different circumstances.

Somehow adding two more deaths to a tragedy makes it all ok for some peeps I guess...yanno, the honorable thing to do and all.
