Yes its oozing. The doctor called it "drainage". Since it popped, the volcano is gone, leaving a crater the size of a dime in his knee. The red rash is still visible, in a circle surrounding the wound, but its not as dark. Its still swollen and it hurts to touch it or to bend his knee.

RG, do you surf?

Nah, I'm afraid of sharks.

I'm not so much afraid of sharks as I am from getting bitten by one.

That would be my primary concern. However, I don't want a shark staring me down with those creepy dead eyes either. Sharks lack empathy.

JFC!!! Was it necessary to go into detail?

Should someone go find pics?

It was in response to me asking her exactly what she meant so yeah.
I would advise NOT googling it. There are some pretty gross pictures from when the wound evolves and becomes gangrenous. Hopefully we don't get to that point.
I am NOT googling it for sure.

I feel like that could be the one thing on the internet that might possibly be just the slightest bit untrue.
DO NOT SLEEP IN YOUR CONTACTS!!!!!!
Eye infections suck. Not to mention what it does to your vanity. :(
I'm flying to the beach on Saturday and can't even snorkel for the first few days because I can't put my contacts back in. Stupid stupid.
I used to do that all the time. Then I got an infection so bad I couldn't wear contacts for 10 years. Right now I've got a touch of pink eye so glasses all weekend I suppose.
Last year, my oldest son was selected to participate in the Envirothon. That's a tri-county program where students from every school compete against each other in their knowledge of the area wildlife and environment. He placed fifth. A few weeks ago, one of the area colleges sent him a letter commending him on his performance and invited him to spend the day with them on their boat collecting data from the water on Lake Erie and from fish or other wildlife. Today is that day. I'm so excited for him, this is such a wonderful opportunity and they only offered this to 2 other students from the competition. Since he wants to be a marine biologist, this is will give him a taste of what they really do. He's going to love it. I'm so damn proud of him I could almost burst.
Um how is the spider bite doing Lucy? Did you take him to the ER yet????
I said it before and Ima say it again (where Mil can't scold me ha!) if it's not getting better, that spider could have laid eggs in there!
Hey Duch, how's that for calling a boy out for his commitment to Mock?

(I didn't see when it suits him in the legal jargon)
The spider bite is so much better! He spent all day yesterday with his leg elevated and cold compresses and the swelling is all but gone. The bite itself is starting to scab over and he says it itches so bad he can barely stand it. The doctor says that's a very good sign its healing. Its pretty deep so it'll leave a nasty scar but that's the least of his worries. The culture is in and it was a staph infection caused by a nasty spider bite. Theyre hesitant to say but all signs point to a brown recluse. He's going to be fine, but is still on two antibiotics for another week or 10 days or ao. I've arranged to have the house bombed this weekend. I don'tneed anyone else getting bit by something.
Please ignore this stupid rant. It's ethanol abuse. I'm embarrassed.
ahahhaa it's ok Aussie! Alcohol makes us do silly things.
