Newbie here although I don't feel new to this forum since I've been reading about this case on here for days and days. It's hard for me to even go to work knowing I won't be able to read new information.

I have a 20 yr old daughter and a 18 yr old son and I can't imagine what these families are going through but do much stuff just doesnt add up to me. At one point I was going with amateurs doing this, then thought it was too well thought out and I am still confused. I do know one thing, if my son or daughter's friend thought that either one of them were in trouble, they'd call their own mom or friends before calling me and I don't know that any of them would just come to my house and pick up my husband and I definately wouldn't assume that the person that obviously feels comfortable enough to pick my husband up would have set my child up. There is somthing that just seems off balance about all that...JMO.

Spent two hours or more starting at beginning of thread until now. Like a lot of the others in here, for some reason this case has me on edge, even though in my own opinion it is not a likely start to a murderous trend in the local area. I am just struggling with the non-chalant and blase attitude of other humans treating another living person in such a disgraceful and disgusting manner. I hope that this turns out to be over more than just money/drugs, because it will be an end to two lives for an unremarkable and sad thing. Now that I am current hopefully I can stay up with things on here and comment freely as needed.

Apart from that it is NOT uncommon at all around here to have benefit dinners to help people pay for funerals, health care expenses, funds set up for children who are left without parents, people who've lost all of their possessions in fires & such. We also do all of the things you've mentioned Tiki, although you'll find most of those kinds of things (benefit walks etc) going on in the suburbs of Toledo.
Actually, if not for Lisa, this may not have even made the news, maybe locally, but definatly not nationally. Johnny being portayed as nothing more than a gangster/thug wannabe being murdered isn't exactly breaking news around the inner city. It happens all the time. Just a few weeks ago there was a riot/shooting at a bowling alley near my home & hours later a 17 year old was shot in the back just a few blocks away. This is not news around here in the city. It is news when it happens in the suburbs to a pretty, young, white female. I don't know where her friends are & why they aren't burning candles, maybe they're too "classy" for that?

it is silver and a slender 2" barrel. also rings and bracelets. i work at a crematory, and cremation is done much more often now.
Wow. There's a lot of activity in this thread. I've been following this case for the last week or so on a couple of other forums so I am all caught up. Look forward to reading and chatting more.
Here is hoping that the local LE will be making a statement in the next 48 or so hours. Even if it is just to say that "We are still actively processing the evidence and making headway with the case." I don't need specifics (although it would be great), I just want to hear that they are being proactive in this case!
I'm personally a little worried that LE is stalling out on this case. There's the reward money now for any info which tells me they may be out of luck.
i am soooo upset LE has not commented. i will not say anything until they do. unless some other media whore appears on TV.

It is frustrating that there has not been any conferences/statements form the LE, this is on your citizens minds and it is not going to just slip out of our heads. This has happened in our "backyards" and even if it is not a serious threat to others, the community should be kept informed and made to feel that there is progress being made.
I still have Nevaeh's case on my mind weekly and it eats me inside that that person is allowed to roam this Earth daily freely as they wish!

Lisa is beginning to appear more like a player to me as this unfolds. I first thought she was totally innocent, still her biggest crime may be a weakness for the "bad boy".
