Can we assume who ever commited the murder was in the home the first time the Police arrived? The Police wouldn't want TW or John Sr. sticking around much because nothing was found wrong - IMO so TW and John Sr. roam around the block keeping warm until Maytee arrived possibly talking on phone to her. Is this when the killer/s slipped out of the home? What did they do here jog? no sidewalks - just jog away from the crime along the street? A Taxi didn't pick them up or him up, it was a bitter bitter cold night! You'd really be risking things if you had a vehicle parked inside the Straub's garage all along and made your exit that way IMO So maybe they live very close by?

Wolfhouse, re why Maytee mentioned kidnapping has bothered me also. It was mentioned early on, that
Maytee owed money to someone and she told them that Johnny had it. Maybe she had been warned that
if they didn't get their money, they would kidnap Johnny and hold for ransom until she paid her debt.
Maybe this was revenge against Maytee, and not J & L.~~~~~~~~~~~kill her firstborn and his girl.
As to basement tied with towels; i think she was telling dispatcher a lot of stuff to get attention of LE
or she misunderstood what her husband had told her in all the chaos.

Freshbait78, I eliminated the alphabet soup gang - but, then I've gone over and over that lot in my head - TW wanted to maybe get a job at TGI Friday's or Lisa to help her get in there and a whole lot of other various things I rule her and her baby daddy out (now I may stand corrected later on) but, for now and why the hell if she was involved bother with Maytee. Apparently TW and AG have been around the block a few times and AG knows very well murder is Death Penalty in Ohio - I believe TW when she said Lisa wanted a baby if that shocks everyone. It could be TW wrong place at the wrong time and she was not involved - I do know this much if it had not been for TW the two murdered souls would have laid in that home how long? God only knows - unless a family member had a key or if Mr. & Mrs Straub telephoned from the carribean home to check up with the young couple. What a terrible ordeal that would have been coming home to that yet, its hellish enough this way. As crazy as things seem TW may have been a blessing after all in this. IMO

If we're" thinking outside of the box" .. what about roadrage....having drugs in their system whoever was driving may have done something stupid to piss someone off. They followed them to Lisas and when inside saw the scales and such and thought there had to be some money somewhere in the house. Maybe they tied them up and Johnny and or Lisa sent them on a goose chase in the house looking for money or drugs biding time so they could get untied . Maybe they got so mad they decided to kill them and had to use something in the house such as tape and bags. Do we know if the tape and bags came from the home? Another note when garage doors are closed theres an eye that opens them if something gets in the beam. Even if they tried to close the door to get away the door would be triggered to open for safety reasons. In any case if someone was hiding outside to get in when they came home they could have gotten in the house that way...Most hit the button to close the garage door and go into the house. Hey just a thought . As far as Johnny being on the phone when he noticed them per TW he didnt sound alarmed he said Ill call you back .
That is a good theory butterfly girl. There are also alot of State Troopers on Airport Hwy. Their station is down the road aways. Not really alot of traffic in that area on a late Sunday night. It is packed during the daytime

It might be the killers or someone they told, we need something to happen. Im starting to wonder if there is no leads at all, the crimescene needs a fresh set of eyes to see from a different point. Need more interviews with strong coffee, old fashioned police work.

Sonny223, I sure hope your wrong with no leads at all that would be bloody hell! Our LE just needs to get this solved it would be a big win for them! so I am hoping and praying for them - I checked the Attorney Generals Office, Mike DeWine the Ohio Cold Case File and there are 38 unsolved murders in the State of Ohio - there was only 1 from Sylvania, Ohio which is near Toledo - I think thats a pretty good record for our region. We just need some good news and I think the BCI is in on this. It looks like it is a year before they post an unsolved case up - and I think before I'd let it end up there, you mentioned $100,000 reward money in a previous post, if I could round up that kind of money possibly hire a Private Investigator if it was my baby, my child.

I think LE have leads but like others have said. They want to make sure their leads are concrete so nothing can ruin the case....imo

I just hope the monster/s who did this didn't take pictures or video taped Johnny and Lisa more sick twisted stuff that would be.
I am beginning to wonder if the perps were taunting L and J, with the
bags and trying to get information. Then either Tiff or LE came to the
house snooping around with flashlights in windows. The perps had to
hide and assure no movement would be seen from the outside. During
this time, Lisa and Johnny died. An 11 minute visit should be more
than enough to cause death. That is how long the first LE visit was.
TW made this comment directed at Maytee a couple of hours ago. I'm sorry but you people that believe her are very naive. Whether they are actively involved or not, her and AG know what happened that night (guess I have to say IMO). They are both cruel and dangerous thugs that are a burden on society......
