This testimony from the trial Toledo Blade above, I see no mention of a safe and I believe the Blade wouldn't leave that part out.

"There's a lot of work involved in this. That's not random. That's targeted," Doyle Burke, a retired Dayton homicide detective, told the Toledo Blade. "The average burglar or robber is armed, but they're not walking around with duct tape and plastic bags."

That has led some to believe that the perpetrators knew the victims, and that this was personal. Slowly suffocating the couple to death would indicate they wanted Johnny and Lisa to die slowly -- and painfully.

But Jim Jim Verbosky, Lisa's uncle, believes the bad guys knew Lisa's parents, Jeff and Mary Beth Straub, were out of town for their anniversary. He also says they were looking for a safe that didn't exist.

"There is a kitchen with an island and an open eating area that went into an open family room," he told the Blade. "That was not ransacked, but you could tell there was a fight that ensued there. Plants were knocked over. Things were broken and knocked over, but upstairs, Mary Beth and Jeff's room was ransacked to the point where it looked like a TV show. All the drawers were out, and they had punched holes in the walk-in closet looking for a safe that never existed. There was no safe."

All that was stolen was $84 in cash from a change jar. Valuables like jewelry, TVs and computers were left behind.

Samuel Williams wasn't very open about his case with fellow inmates at the Lucas County jail until one night when he shared insight about events inside a Springfield Township home in January, 2011, said a Toledo man who testified Tuesday in Lucas County Pleas Court.

"One of the things [Williams] said was that he'll never forget how the bag made a crinkle noise when Lisa [Straub] breathed in," said Erik Yingling, who was incarcerated at the jail in December, 2011, with Williams. " … They were trying to torture them, for lack of a better word, to try to get Johnny [Clarke] to tell where the safe and money was."

So I have been scoping out the Yinglings on fb. Looks like a who's who on the Eastside of Toledo. So many names in common with individuals that I had previous found through Williams and Pettaway. Kind of strange

He's 39 his real name I believe is Erik S Yingling that's what was in Toledo Blade and on Mugshotsonline.com but, he's also going with Eric Yingling, I don't see any connection to Cam or Sam. Mustang, seems quite suspicious of Yingling, I can not find anything connecting him to Alexandra Cousino, Eric Taylor, Amy TenEyck or Cam and Sam & lets not forget Yaunest Deandre Gaiter Amy's new guy. I do believe Erik Yingling did the right thing and the Jury believed him. Perjury in Ohio is 5 years in Prison and maximum fine of $10,000.

I agree with you completely. Im an old fasioned woman, for sure, but my husband and I sacrificed a lot for our kids....and Id do it all over again!

Im wide awake and thinking about the sentencing hearing tomorrow.
Thinking about SW getting the death penalty or dying in prison.
Thinking about the Straubs and the Clarkes...and wondering if theyre up and thinking too.
Thinking about Cameo and wondering if he feels any, even a tiny bit, of guilt for
what is going to happen to his friend tomorrow, if he has any remorse at all for being a

Thinking about Lisa and Johnny and wondering what they would have done this weekend
if they were still alive. Would they still be together? Would they be engaged? Have a baby on

the sentencing hearing should be taking place now. the defense will present mitigating factors, if any. the state will present aggravating factors.
there should already be a pre-sentencing report in the judge's hands.
the jury will weigh the factors and make their recommendation to the judge.
the judge cannot sentence to death if jury recommends life. however, he can sentence to life even if they recommend death. they usually follow jury recommendation.
prior to actual sentencing there may be victim impact statements by victims' families.

I'm wondering if they're going to let that loon MV in the courtroom for a Victim Impact Statement. If so, the hearing could go on for days...............and days........... How is she going to speak in ALL CAPS without getting thrown out again??

I have SO appreciated your knowledge, wisdom and insight here over the
past months and once again, you succinctly answered a question. Thanks
for the fun Smilies and the occasional emotional exclamation with which I almost
always agree! This board is such a pleasure and support.

I have not personally come in contact with any Mockers but wish there
would be a Mock picnic sometime in some local park in Toledo or even
a cocktail hour somewhere as I feel as if I have made a dozen or so new
friends from here and about the states on Mock.

Just to let you know - I started out hunting for Mock when I lived in
Manhattan, and have since moved to within 25 miles of Toledo. It is
odd, I never batted an eye walking any time of day or night in Central
Park or Harlem, but getting gas in Toledo (Secor/Central/Monroe area)
for the first time was scary as hell.

I was at the pump and tapped on the shoulder from behind by a local
hooknick. I did not know if I would get a knife in the belly, my purse
or car stolen or what might happen. So, stay away from pumps
by restrooms and trees lining the property.
