Glad you're back! Did you check WTOL to-day? Toledo, Ohio another murdering bastard - this bastard murdered 2 mothers and he was sentenced to 20 years - I am slightly off topic here but, I am furious about this sentence along with many other people. The sentence is an injustice here. Surely something can be done to change this!
Wahl, 41, entered an Alford plea Sept. 23 to two counts of involuntary manslaughter.
As part of the agreement, initial charges of aggravated murder were reduced to the manslaughter charges.
Prosecutor Julia Bates said her office agonizes over every plea offered but must weigh the strength of the evidence against the possibility that a jury would return a not-guilty verdict. She said by entering into a plea agreement, the state can ensure some time behind bars and prevent the possibility of a not-guilty verdict or an appeal.
"We can shake the tree and see what evidence falls, but sometimes, it's not a lot, and in those cases, we're better taking the plea than getting nothing," she said. "We agonize every time something like this happens, but we try to balance getting an appropriate sentence with giving the family peace of mind and protecting the community."
Assistant prosecutors said the plea was the result of potential problems with evidence in the case.
Nightowl, I check everything several times a day!!! The Blade, four local tv channels, Lucas county booking, FB, and MOCK. That's the effect this case has had on me. I copied this in answer to your question about WTOL. This is a small excerpt from the Blade. Thought that it might be some good info.
Thank-you! Olderthandirt you found the story - I was really shocked by this story and I read he took the Alford plea. He murdered 2 women and 20 years sentence was the maximum the Judge could impose. How sad for the families left.
i wonder sometimes about dynamics within household, she almost never mentions her husband. i have never seen him online of course, and have heard him speak briefly in public twice that i can recall. he's very quiet and keeps his own counsel evidently. certainly not a drama queen. and the man did find his son in that condition, i can't imagine his nightmares. i am truly sorry for that.
i believe he went for a ride with AG not long ago and they had a talk about the murders. i think he came away realizing AG did not do it. this was before arrests. i was surprised AG would be alone with him considering maytee's threats.
At some point it is libel. She could be sued for saying this site has members who are sexually perverted, child molestors, and that anybody here emailed her children.
We should file a complaint.

Not me.
Wasn't it TW who drove 'Big John' to the Straubs'? If Baby Mama felt comfortable with him, I'm sure AG did, too.
I believe 'Big John', TW and AG know Maytee is just a foul-mouthed windbag who is full of bullshit and blame.
The rest of us do.
She's all gif, talk and NO action.

OTD, a huge problem with Toledo is Julia Bates. I will say up front I know her and I went to school with her daughter. Julia is a cold person IMO. I am still amazed that she is the one who goes to bat for the victims in Toledo.
I am not alone in this. I have my degree in journalism. When I was in college I had a very long discussion with a professor of mine who used to work as a journalist in Toledo on Prosecutor Bates. We had both come to the same conclusion on her.
I am amazed any justice gets done in Toledo. There isn't much she won't plea out.

Dear Miss Cummins,
The very last thing we need is another illiterate internet Troll to come in here and act as the sock puppet of Maytee Clark.
Maytee is a big girl who can and does speak for herself.
It would behoove you to stay away from Mock and it's members regardless of what you think of us. I am just trying to save yourself the frustration of being pwned in public.
If you do choose to stay away I will wish you a good farewell and good tidings. If you choose to stop and stay a while this spawn of satan will warn you as was Dante, "Ye who enter, abandon all hope".
supposedly the toledo blade was going to publish a story on the case today. has anyone seen it yet? i know it's still early.
the article is monday evidently.

Oh goody!
Maybe there will be information on the infamous 'Walk'.
Or a pretty gif . . . as an illustration.
Didn't they give you anything new, anything you weren't already aware of? I guess not or you would have shared it with everyone.
The Blade has lots of coupons on Sunday. HAHA!

Any coupons for "Plea Deals"?
Or are they waiting until we're closer to the Holiday Season before offering this type of discount?
Duchess, I wanted to address the question you made previously about the Clarke's being kept from Lisa's funeral.
I can't say that specifically the Straub's wanted to keep them away. But the funeral was not in the paper. My Dad worked with Jeff for many many many years and when my mother talked to one of their coworkers she was told that the reason they didn't publicly address the funeral was there were some they wanted kept away.
My mother's understanding was the people to be kept away were members/friends/relatives/acquaintances of the Clarke family.
Granted lot's of hearsay there but I believe it to be true given the things Maytee has publicly posted.
