I haven't been on this thread much and I sure don't care what Maytee or anyone else says on a FB page. I was just taken aback with the comment about JsMom. It made me think of some of the posts that some of the locals made about Maytee and what she's really like. A malicious remark about the loss of someone's child is pretty revealing about the character of the one who makes it.
Thinking "if only" when someone is murdered (or many other manners of death, for that matter) is pretty natural for the ones left behind. If only Lisa and Johnny hadn't been at the Straubs', if only a loved one hadn't gotten on that plane that crashed, if only an abducted child hadn't been walking to that friend's house, if only we'd picked a different surgeon, etc, etc, ect. I'm sure the Straubs' think if only they hadn't been away for their anniversary. Humans torture themselves with that stuff.
As for the dog - I've spent a good part of my life rescuing animals. Dogs are soooooo special. Naming one after a murderer is just stupid - just as stupid as the people who looked up to John Gotti because he passed out free turkeys at Christmas and was a snazzy dresser. Nobody said Johnny or Lisa had good judgment. Maybe her sister wasn't comfortable with the name or thought it was in poor taste. Who knows. The important thing is that the dog is loved and well cared for. He'll come to his new name. My dogs have several names each and they know them all.
looks like some of you are reading into things wrong about my complaints with Maytee.. I KNOW it's natural to say "what if" "I wish you didn't go" etc. That is NOT the issue. It's her constantly making it a point to say they were NEVER in danger in HER care and home... what's the point of that? No need to throw all that extra in there. that only serves as more hurt to the Straub family and even if they don't read her page I'm sure those things get back to them.

I agree~I believe it gets back to the Straubs just as her threats/attacking get back to mock.
my feeling is that if danger existed to them personally, it would have sought them out and found them in time. but in this instance, i also feel that murder was not the intent when it started. killing them was not the goal of the night. it just all went horribly wrong. like all of fate, many factors came into play and combined for tragedy. Is that a true statement to our knowledge? Have we heard of any danger being brought to her home? I haven't, have you? If they were always safe at her home, why is it wrong to say "I wish you had been home, were you normally were, instead of house sitting, if you were this would not have happened"?
I think some people are taking this way too personal in regards to the Straubs. If they, JC & LS had been shot in a McDonalds drive thru & she said "I wish you would have just stayed at home & I made you a sammich like I normally would have" Would everyone be up in arms about that? JEEBUZ!! It just so happened they were killed at the Straubs house, when I read her saying that I don't take it as her placing blame at the Straubs feet & she has said herself she doesn't blame the Straubs. It's the circumstance that they were in, at that moment that led to the opportunity for murder.
As far as people reporting back to the Straubs: "even if they don't read her page I'm sure those things get back to them." Who ever is reporting anything back to them that comes from Maytees mouth & twists it into some type of blame, deserves a big fat ass slap IMO That's the last thing they need, I'm sure, is to be embroiled in some he said she said wack ass drama. Now... "what's the point of THAT?" Apart from that, that's no better then the bitches who were reportedly coming to Mock & reporting things back to Maytee that weren't true or sounded negative whilst leaving out all of the supportive things that have been said here. I wonder if it's true that things are being reported to the Straubs, if they also include in their report, all of the lovely things that Maytee says about Lisa on a DAILY basis?

I'm curious as to where this rumor came from? Do you know someone personally who knows it was related to this case? I'm also reading about these prostitution stings and wondering if maybe someone jumped to conclusions when seeing an arrest take place.
Did Johnny have his own vehicle?

Hmm, I know of 3 trailer parks on Reynolds Rd between Hill & Airport Hwy. However, I just read about 8 people arrested in a prostitution sting. I hope what you heard is true....keeping fingers crossed!
From what I have heard it was Reynolds Villiage. I was told that they made an arrest in the Lisa Straub murder. It was this morning at about 10 am. The person who told me knows somebody who says they know somebody else that has some inside information. I am from Springfield, and everybody knows everybody. I dont know for sure if the information is true, as of right now its just hear say. But...you better believe I will be watching the 5 and 6 o'clock news.

Toledo Blade newspaper has the recent prostitution sting article - strangely enough if you scroll down and read some of the comments -a lady there mentions Johnny and Lisa & no arrest yet for them.
